Award-Winning Retina Specialist Joins Leading Retina Practice in New York
Vitreoretinal Consultants of NY (VRC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Jeffrey C. Paccione, an award-winning retina specialist and surgeon, has joined their retina practice, making it possible for even more patients across the Tri-State Area to access advanced vision care. Dr. Paccione will continue to provide care for his existing patients from VRC’s newly opened offices in Manhattan and New Rochelle, and he will also begin seeing patients at VRC’s existing locations in Elmhurst and Rockland.
As a physician who is passionate about preserving and protecting vision against retinal diseases, Dr. Paccione is excited to join forces with the VRC team. “It’s an honor to help patients who are at risk of losing their vision or who have already lost it,” said Dr. Paccione. “Vitreoretinal Consultants of NY have long established themselves as leaders in the retinal community, and I’m immensely proud to work alongside their team of elite doctors.”

Dr. Paccione is specially trained to treat the full spectrum of conditions affecting the retina, macula, and vitreous. He earned his medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honors from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. He then completed his medical internship at the University of California in Los Angeles.
His ophthalmic residency took place at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, followed by an intensive two-year vitreoretinal fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he is an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology. He also serves as a clinical attending physician at Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, and is affiliated with several other hospitals in the area, including North Shore University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital.
Throughout his career, Dr. Paccione has been recognized several times as an exceptional doctor by both peers and patients. He was named by Castle Connolly as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists, and was featured in their prestigious Top 1% list. He is also a multi-year recipient of the New York Super Doctor award and has been awarded the Patient's Choice honor three times.
In addition to his impressive background and training, Dr. Paccione also dedicates time to serving on medical missions in the Philippines and is a past President of the Angeles University Development Foundation. He has also co-authored several articles and studies in major medical publications.
From VRC’s retina centers in Manhattan, New Rochelle, Elmhurst, and Rockland, Dr. Paccione uses the latest equipment to diagnose and treat retinal disorders, including, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein and artery occlusions, retinal tears and detachments, and more.
